Verification, Validation, and Accreditation
What it actually means
The regime for trusting models and simulations: verification (the model is built as designed), validation (it represents the real world well enough for the intended use), and accreditation (an authority formally accepts it for that specific use). The "for the intended use" clause is everything — no model is validated in general.
Where you'll meet it
M&S governance, especially where simulation results substitute for live test.
