QC

Quality Control

What it actually means

The product-facing half of quality: inspections, tests, and measurements that catch nonconforming items before they ship. Quality assurance makes the process trustworthy; quality control checks the output. A factory leaning entirely on QC is paying for quality twice — once to build defects, once to find them.

Where you'll meet it

Manufacturing inspection operations and acceptance criteria.
